Global Dialing Scheme

Global dialing schemes are ways that phone companies create numbers to make sure that people can call each other all around the world! For example, if your friend travels abroad and you want to call them, you could look up their new phone number and it will always start with a certain set of numbers. That set of numbers is called a global dialing scheme and it tells the phone company that your friend is in a certain country so they can connect your call. By using global dialing schemes, you and your friend can talk no matter how far away you are!
