ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Goat milk

Goat milk is a special milk that comes from goats. Just like we drink cow's milk, some people like to drink goat's milk too!

Goats are animals that live on farms and they eat things like hay, grass, and grains. When they eat these things, their bodies turn it into milk. Farmers then milk the goats, which is like when mommy milked you when you were a baby.

Now, goat's milk is different from cow's milk. Cow's milk has a lot of fat in it, but goat's milk has less fat. Goat's milk also has a special type of fat called medium-chain fatty acids that is easier for our bodies to digest. This is why some people who have trouble digesting cow's milk can drink goat's milk instead.

Goat's milk also has a special protein called alpha-s1 casein that is different from the protein in cow's milk. Some people who are allergic to cow's milk may not be allergic to goat's milk.

And finally, goat's milk tastes a little different too! Some people say it's sweeter and creamier than cow's milk.

So, that is what goat milk is and why some people like to drink it!
