Gordon v Goertz

Okay kiddo, so there was a case called Gordon v Goertz where two people, a mom and dad, were arguing about their child. You know how important it is for parents to love and take care of their children, right?

Well, in this case, the mom and dad couldn't agree on the best way to take care of their child. They were both arguing about things like where the child should live and who should make important decisions for the child.

So they went to court and the judge had to decide what was best for the child. The judge thought very carefully and looked at lots of different things, like what the child wanted and what was best for the child's well-being.

In the end, the judge made a decision that the dad would have more say in making decisions for the child and that the child would spend more time living with the dad. The mom was not very happy about this decision, but the judge thought it was the best thing for the child.

So the Gordon v Goertz case was all about parents disagreeing about what is best for their child and the judge making a decision to help the child be happy and healthy.
