Gospel of Judas
Okay kiddo, so there was a book found a long time ago called the Gospel of Judas. It's a very special book because it talks about a person named Judas who was one of Jesus' closest friends.
Now, you might remember from Sunday school that Judas is usually thought of as a bad person because he's the one who betrayed Jesus and turned him over to the people who wanted to hurt him. But in this book, things are a little different.
The book says that actually, Jesus asked Judas to betray him. Jesus knew that he was going to die soon and he wanted it to happen so that people could learn a very important lesson. So even though it seems like Judas did a bad thing, he was actually doing what Jesus wanted so that everyone else could learn from it.
This book is really important because it helps us understand more about what people believed a long time ago about Jesus and his friends. People have been studying this book for a long time now, and even though it's really old, we can still learn a lot from it today.
