Okay kiddo, do you know what magazines are? They are like books but thinner and have a lot of pictures and words that you can read and look at.

Now, gossip magazines are magazines that talk about famous people like movie stars, singers or supermodels. They often have photos of these famous people doing everyday things like going shopping or having lunch with their friends.

But sometimes, they have photos and stories that are not so nice and can hurt people's feelings. They might tell lies about a celebrity, like saying they did something bad even if they didn't.

It's not nice to spread lies or say mean things about anyone, famous or not, so gossip magazines are not always a good thing to read. That's why some people choose not to read them at all.
