Government National Mortgage Association

The Government National Mortgage Association (GNMA) is like a big piggy bank that helps people get loans to buy houses. When someone wants to buy a house, they have to borrow money from a bank. But sometimes banks don't have enough money to lend to everyone who wants to buy a house. That's where the GNMA comes in.

The GNMA collects money from lots of investors who want to help people buy homes. Then, the GNMA uses all that money to help the banks give out more loans. This way, more people can buy homes and have a place to live.

The GNMA also helps to make sure that the people who borrow money from these banks will pay it back. It does this by checking to make sure that the banks are doing everything by the rules. If the banks don't follow the rules, then the GNMA might not let them lend money anymore.

So basically, the GNMA is like a big piggy bank that helps people buy homes and makes sure everything is fair and safe for everyone involved.
