Governor-General of India

Okay kiddo, imagine you and your classmates are the people of a big country called India. Now, just like in a classroom, we need someone to help us manage all the things that are going on, like rules, decisions, and important stuff like that. That's where the Governor-General comes in!

The Governor-General is like the teacher of our classroom, but for the whole country. They were a person appointed by the British government who had a very important role in India. Their job was to help the British rulers keep control of the country and make decisions that would help keep things running smoothly.

The Governor-General did a lot of things while they were in charge. They made laws and regulations, they decided how money should be spent, and they helped settle arguments between people in India. They also had a big army to help keep the country safe and secure.

But not everyone liked having a Governor-General. Some people in India wanted to be in charge of their own country, without any outside help. They wanted to be free to make their own laws and to live their own way. Eventually, after a lot of hard work, India became independent and didn't need a Governor-General anymore.

So, the Governor-General was a very important person who helped keep things under control in India, but some people wanted to be free to make their own decisions instead.
