ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Graph rewriting

Graph rewriting is like making origami. You have a piece of paper (called a graph), and you fold it in certain ways to make different shapes. The paper stays the same, but the shape it makes changes. With graph rewriting, you start with one graph (like a piece of paper) and you rewrite it in certain ways to get a different graph (like a different origami shape). For example, you might start with a graph that shows how different people are connected and then by adding new information, rewrite it to show how they're connected in a new way.
