The Great Zasechnaya Cherta was a very long wall that was built a really long time ago in Russia to protect the country from enemies like the Tartars and the nomads. It was built with rocks, dirt and some trees, and it went for hundreds of miles through the forests and fields. The wall was made really tall and wide so that nobody could attack Russia easily. The people who lived near the wall could use it as a lookout post to see if any bad guys were coming. Nowadays, we don't need the wall because we have newer ways to protect ourselves, like armies and airplanes. But the Great Zasechnaya Cherta was an important piece of history for Russia!
