Great hall

A great hall is like a big and fancy room in a castle or a palace. It is usually the biggest and most important room in the building, where important meetings and celebrations take place. There are often long tables with lots of food and drink for everyone to enjoy, and people sit on benches and chairs around the tables. The walls can be decorated with beautiful artwork or old tapestries, and there might be a big fireplace to keep the room warm and cozy. In olden times, knights and lords would gather in the great hall to make important decisions or hear important announcements from the king or queen. Nowadays, great halls are still used in some places for weddings and other big events, or just to impress visitors with their grandeur and history.
