Manor house

Ok kiddo, so a manor house is a big fancy house that was owned by rich and important people a long time ago. It usually had lots of rooms for parties and guests to stay, and sometimes even had its own fancy gardens and a big area of land called an estate. Think of it like a really posh hotel mixed with a castle. Nowadays, some people still live in manor houses, but they usually don't have as much land and aren't quite as grand as the ones from long ago.
