Green Scare

Green scare is a term used to describe actions taken against environmental activists. It is called a "scare" because the government and law enforcement sometimes take extreme measures (like arrest or investigation) against people who only want to protect the environment. These actions are meant to scare other environmental activists and make them worry that they can be arrested or punished too.
