Greyfield land

Greyfield land is land that isn't quite ready to be developed yet, but has the potential to be someday. Imagine a large piece of land with a few buildings on it, but not much else. It looks kind of like a grey field with a few buildings in it. That's what greyfield land is - land that isn't ready to be built on, but could be one day.
