Greystone (architecture)

Greystone is a type of building material that was used a lot in the past to make big and fancy buildings. It is a type of rock that is grey in colour and is very strong and durable. This rock was used to make the outside walls and sometimes even the inside walls of buildings.

People liked using greystone because it looked nice and it was long-lasting. Lots of buildings made a long time ago still have greystone walls that look almost as good as new!

Nowadays, not very many buildings are made out of greystone because it is quite expensive. But if you ever see an old building made of this material, you can appreciate how tough and impressive it is.
