Grooming dance

Okay kiddo, so animals like dogs and cats like to keep themselves clean and neat by licking their fur. But did you know that some birds have their own special way of grooming themselves? They do something called a grooming dance!

Birds like parrots or cockatoos will fluff up their feathers, stretch their wings, and move around in a funny way. They might even run their beak through their feathers to make sure they're nice and clean. Some birds will even ask their bird friends to help them groom by preening each other's feathers.

Just like when you take a bath or brush your hair to stay clean, animals need to groom themselves too. That way they can stay healthy and happy!
