Hey there kiddo! So, have you ever been on a really bumpy car ride and felt like you were bouncing up and down? Well, sometimes when things move really fast, like planes, they can cause the ground to shake and bounce too. This shaking is called ground vibration.
Now, sometimes when planes are flying really fast, they can create a really big ground vibration that is very loud and can even break things like windows or dishes. This is called a ground vibration boom.
It's kind of like when you jump on a trampoline really hard and it makes a loud noise - except the planes are way bigger and faster so their vibrations are much stronger.
To make sure they don't cause any damage or bother people too much, airplanes have to follow special rules and fly at certain heights and speeds that reduce the chances of making a ground vibration boom.
