ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Gulf Tiger

Okay kiddo, so a gulf tiger is not actually a real animal. It's just a term some people use to talk about tigers that live in countries near the Gulf of Thailand, like Cambodia and Laos.

Tigers are big cats with orange fur and black stripes. They're really strong and fast, and they live in forests and other wild places. But because people are cutting down forests and hunting tigers, they're becoming endangered.

So some people are trying to help protect tigers by studying them and making sure they have enough forests to live in. And that's where the term "gulf tiger" comes in - it's just a way for those people to talk about tigers in a specific area.

So even though gulf tigers aren't real, it's still really important to help protect the real tigers that do live in those countries. Do you have any questions?
