ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Gurbani

Gurbani is a very special thing that comes from a religion called Sikhism. It is like a special book that has many writings in it, which are like poems or prayers that Sikhs read and sing to feel closer to their God, who they call Waheguru.

Inside Gurbani, there are many teachings and stories about how Sikhs should live their lives and treat other people. It teaches Sikhs to be kind, helpful, and honest.

Sikhs believe that Gurbani was written by special people called Gurus, who were like really smart and good people that knew a lot about God and how to live a good life.

Singing and listening to Gurbani can make Sikhs feel peaceful, happy, and connected to their God. It is also a way for them to remember their history and the teachings of their Gurus.
