ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Gynocriticism

Gynocriticism is like using a special lens to look at stories and books. You know how we usually see the world through Daddy's glasses, but this is like using Mommy's glasses instead. Gynocriticism helps us look at how women are portrayed in stories - are they strong and smart, or are they always needing help from a boy? It helps us understand how women writers and characters are important and how we can make sure they are being treated fairly. It's like trying on a new pair of glasses to see the world in a different way!
