Habitual residence test

Okay, so imagine you have a friend who moved to a new house far away. They used to live in a different house, but now they live in the new house all the time. The people who make rules about where people can live and what support they can get sometimes want to know which house is the real home, or the "habitual residence". They want to know where someone lives most of the time and has important connections, like friends, family, and school. This helps them decide which country should help someone out when they need support, like money or healthcare. So, the "habitual residence test" is kind of like a test to see which house is your real home. It asks questions about where you live, what you do, and who you know. It helps the people who make rules about where people can live decide which country should give you help if you need it.
