Hallucinations are things that people see, hear, or feel that don’t exist in the real world. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is technology that can be used to make machines that think like a human. An AI hallucination is when an AI system makes up something that’s not really there, like a sound or a picture. AI machines can make mistakes, just like humans, so an AI system could come up with something that’s not real.
