Hanseatic Cross

The Hanseatic Cross is a special kind of medal that is given to people who have done really good things in the military. It is named after a group of cities called the Hanseatic League, which were once really important for trade in Europe.

The medal looks like a cross with four arms that are all the same length. It also has a picture of an anchor in the middle, which is a symbol of hope and stability. The medal is usually made of metal, and it is sometimes gold, silver, or bronze in color.

People who get the Hanseatic Cross might have done things like show bravery in battle, help other soldiers who are hurt or in danger, or do important work behind the scenes that helps the military be successful. It is a way for other people to say thank you and show their appreciation for the good things that these special people have done.
