Hardiness zone

Hardiness zone is a way to describe the different types of temperatures that plants can grow in. Every area of the world has a hardiness zone number. It helps gardeners and plant growers know which plants will be able to survive in their area. The numbers range from 1 (the coldest) to 11 (the warmest). In each zone, the weather can be different. For example, a plant that survives in zone 8 might not survive in zone 3.
