Harrison Bergeron is a story about what a society might look like if everyone was made equal by the government. In this society, the government requires everyone to wear machines that make them weaker than the people around them. This includes things like wearing heavy weights, ear pieces that give loud noises every 20 seconds, and glasses that blur vision. The government has put these rules in place so that everyone is equal, and nobody can be better than anybody else. The main character in the story is Harrison Bergeron, who is very smart and strong and doesn't want to be made equal. The story ends with Harrison dying, because he refuses to be made equal and rebels against the government.
