ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hasidic philosophy

Hasidic philosophy is a way of thinking about God and the world that is practiced by a group of Jewish people called the Hasidim. Imagine you have a best friend named God who you love and respect very much. Hasidic philosophy teaches that God is always with you and you can feel close to God by being kind, loving and helping others.

Hasidic philosophy is like a special treasure chest filled with stories, songs and teachings that help you understand how to be friends with God. Hasidim believe that every human being has a spark of God inside of them and it is up to them to find it and share it with others.

Hasidic philosophy also teaches you to be grateful for everything you have in life and to always try to find joy in even the smallest things. It is like a big warm hug from God that makes you feel happy and loved.
