Hawaiian scale

Hey kiddo, let me tell you about the Hawaiian scale! It's a special way of playing music that comes from the beautiful island of Hawaii.

So you know how music is made up of different notes, right? Well, the Hawaiian scale has its own special set of notes that are used to make music that sounds unique to Hawaii.

The Hawaiian scale has seven notes, just like the regular Western scale you might be familiar with. But these notes are different from the ones you might sing when you're singing "Do-Re-Mi" from "The Sound of Music."

The Hawaiian scale starts with a note called "C," just like the Western scale. But from there, it's a little different. The next note is called "E," and then "G," "A," "C," "D," and "E."

When you put these notes together in different orders and rhythms, you can make beautiful Hawaiian music that sounds like it's coming right from the islands themselves! It's often used in traditional Hawaiian music like mele (songs) and hula (dance).

So there you have it, kiddo - the Hawaiian scale is a special set of notes that are used to make music that sounds beautiful and unique to Hawaii. Maybe one day you'll get to hear it for yourself or even learn how to play it!
