ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Head-up display

A head-up display (HUD) is like having a TV screen in front of your eyes! It shows important information like speed, directions, and fuel levels without you having to take your eyes off the road.

It's like when you play a video game and there's information on the screen like how many lives you have left or how much energy your character has – that information is always there for you to see.

HUD works in a similar way. It projects information onto a clear plastic screen that sits above your car's dashboard. So instead of looking down at your speedometer or GPS, you can keep your eyes on the road and see all the important information on the screen.

It's really cool because it can also show you things like alerts for when you're getting too close to another car or if there's danger ahead.

So, basically, HUD is like having your car tell you everything you need to know, without you ever having to take your eyes off the road. It's a super helpful tool that keeps you safer and more aware of what's happening around you while driving.
