Headword

A headword is like the name of a special person or something that helps us find and understand words. It's usually the first word at the top of a dictionary page that we look up when we want to learn about a new word. Just like how we have our own names that help us identify ourselves, words have headwords that help us identify them and their meaning. Without headwords, it would be very difficult for us to find and learn new words!
