The health hazard evaluation program is when grown-ups called scientists look at things that could make people sick. They do this by studying things like chemicals, germs, and other yucky things that can hurt our bodies. They try to figure out how to keep people safe from getting hurt by these things. This helps grown-ups make good choices about how to work and live without getting sick. Just like grown-ups teach little ones how to cross the street safely, scientists help grown-ups stay healthy by knowing what is safe and what is not safe.
