ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hebrews 4

Hebrews 4 is a chapter in the Bible that talks about how we can rest in God. It's like taking a nap after playing outside.

The people in the Bible, called Israelites, were traveling through the desert and were tired and hungry. They were trying to get to a special place called the Promised Land, but it was difficult and they were starting to complain.

God promised them rest, and they finally got there. But then they forgot about God and started doing bad things again.

The writer of Hebrews reminds us that just like the Israelites needed rest, we also need rest. But not just physical rest, like taking a nap, but rest for our souls.

We can find rest by trusting in God and believing in Jesus, who is like a helper who takes our burdens away. We don't have to worry or be afraid because God is always with us.

So, Hebrews 4 is telling us that we can have peace and rest even when we are tired or stressed. We just need to trust in God and let Him take care of us.
