ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

John 10

John chapter 10 is a part of a book in the Bible called the Gospel of John. It tells the story of Jesus and his teachings. In chapter 10, Jesus uses a story to explain that he is like a good shepherd who takes care of his sheep.

Sheep are animals that need a lot of attention and care, and a good shepherd knows how to keep them safe and healthy. Jesus says that he is like a shepherd who loves and takes care of his followers, who are like his sheep.

He says that his followers can enter into a special relationship with him, and that he will provide for them, guide them, and protect them from harm. Jesus also says that he is the only way for people to have eternal life and that anyone who follows him will never be lost.

In the story, Jesus talks about how there are other people who claim to be leaders and to know the way to God. But he says that they are like thieves and robbers who try to harm the sheep and lead them astray.

Jesus is saying that people should listen to him and follow his teachings because he loves and cares for them like a good shepherd. And that by doing so, they will find salvation and eternal life.
