ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Henry Louis Le Châtelier

Henry Louis Le Châtelier was a French scientist who discovered something called the "Le Châtelier Principle". This Principle says that if something is done to a chemical reaction, like adding more of one of the chemicals or changing the temperature, then the reaction will try its best to adjust to keep things the same. It's like when you are playing on a seesaw and someone sits on the other end - the seesaw will balance itself out so you both stay equal. Le Châtelier's Principle explains that when something is done to a chemical reaction, it will also try to adjust to keep things equal.
