ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hereditary set

Hi there, sweetie! Do you know what DNA is? It's like a set of instructions for our bodies, telling it how to grow and work properly. Our DNA is passed down from our parents, which is why we might look like them or have similar features.

Now, the hereditary set is basically another way to say our DNA. It's made up of tiny, tiny parts called genes. These genes control everything from the color of our eyes to how tall we might grow.

So when we talk about the hereditary set, we're talking about all of those genes that we got from our parents. Sometimes, there might be a gene that causes a certain condition or trait, like having curly hair or being more prone to allergies. This can be passed down through families, which is why some things run in families - like how you look a lot like your mom or dad.

But no matter what genes we might have in our hereditary set, it's important to remember that we're all unique and special in our own way. And that's something to be proud of!
