Hermann Oberth
Hermann Oberth was a very smart man who lived a long time ago. He was born in 1894 and grew up in Transylvania, which is a place in Europe. He loved science and wanted to know everything he could about space and rockets.
When Hermann was a young man, people didn't know much about space travel or how to get to the moon. But Hermann had some really good ideas. He thought that if a big enough rocket could be built, it could carry people to the moon and other planets.
Hermann worked hard to study and learn all he could about rockets and space. He read lots of books and did lots of experiments. He even built his own rockets as a kid!
As he grew up, Hermann wrote lots of important books about rockets and space travel. He came up with lots of ideas that helped make space travel possible. People still use Hermann's ideas today to get rockets and spaceships to go up into space.
Even though Hermann is no longer alive, his work has helped many scientists and engineers make incredible advances in space travel. He was truly a great scientist and his legacy will always be remembered.
