Heterogeneity

Heterogeneity means that something is made up of lots of different pieces. For example, if you have a box full of toys, it can be seen as heterogeneous because it has a lot of different pieces. Each toy is unique and has different characteristics. It's a mix of many things and it's not the same as something that is made up of just one thing.
