ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hexasyllable

Okay, so sometimes when we say words, they have a certain number of "beats" or "syllables." It's like clapping your hands when you say a word - you might clap once for a word with one syllable, like "cat," or twice for a word with two syllables, like "apple."

A hexasyllable is a word that has six of these "beats" or "syllables." That means when you say the word, you would clap six times to match the number of syllables in the word.

Here's an example of a hexasyllable: "caterpillar." When you say it out loud, you can feel yourself saying six different parts: "ca-ter-pil-lar." That's what makes it a hexasyllable!
