Hick's law is a rule named after British psychologist, William Ernest Hick. It says that the more choices you have, the more time it takes to make a decision. This is because if you have more choices, it takes you longer to think about all the possible outcomes. For example, if you were picking out which candy bar to buy from a candy store, it might take you much longer to decide than if you were picking from a smaller selection at a store.
