ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hindi pronouns

So, you know how when we talk to people, we use words like "I", "you", "he", "she", and "they" to refer to different people? Those are called pronouns. In Hindi, there are a lot of different pronouns that we can use.

For example, if we are talking about ourselves, we say "main" instead of "I". If we are talking about someone else, we might use "woh" to mean "he" or "she". And if we are talking about more than one person, we might say "un log" to mean "they".

But there are also different forms for these pronouns, depending on who we are talking to and how respectful we want to be. If we are talking to someone who is older than us or who we want to show respect to, we might use "aap" instead of "tum" to mean "you". And there are also different words we might use to refer to other people depending on their gender, like "usne" for a woman or "usne" for a man.

All of these different pronouns might seem confusing at first, but just like learning any language, it takes practice and time to get used to them. But once we do, we can communicate with others in Hindi much more easily!
