Hindu eschatology

Hindu eschatology is the belief that when people die, their souls will be reborn in a new body. This cycle of death and rebirth is known as reincarnation. Reincarnation is thought to be determined by karma, or the sum of all a person's good and bad deeds. The soul is believed to be capable of being reborn in higher or lower forms, depending on the type of karma accumulated.

In the end, this cycle may repeat for aeons or the soul may eventually reach a state called moksha, which means liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth. In this state, the soul is united with god and freed from the cycle of suffering.
