Well sweetie, a long long time ago, there were many different groups of people living in Afghanistan. The Arabs, who lived in what is now Saudi Arabia, were one of those groups. The Arabs were mostly traders and they traveled all around the world, including to Afghanistan, to sell their goods and learn about new places.
In the 7th century, a man named Mohammed started teaching a new religion called Islam. Many Arabs became followers of Islam and wanted to spread it to other parts of the world, including Afghanistan. So, some Arab armies came to Afghanistan and took control of the land.
For many years, the Arabs ruled over parts of Afghanistan. They brought with them their culture and traditions, as well as their language, which was Arabic. They also built many important structures, like mosques and palaces, that you can still see today.
Over time, though, other groups of people in Afghanistan, like the Pashtuns and the Tajiks, wanted to regain control of their own land. They fought against the Arab rulers and eventually were able to push them out of Afghanistan.
Today, there are still some Arab communities in Afghanistan, but they are not as prominent as they once were. Afghanistan is now home to many different ethnic groups and religions, who continue to shape the country's rich and diverse history.
