History of Europe

Europe is a continent made up of many countries. For thousands of years, people have moved to Europe from other parts of the world to settle, explore, and trade with each other. Some of the earliest civilizations to arise in Europe were the Ancient Greeks and the Romans. The Greeks built temples and wrote plays, while the Romans created roads and aqueducts. During the Middle Ages, new rulers and religions rose to power and Europe's kings and queens fought wars over land and power. Between the 16th and 18th centuries, explorers from Europe voyaged around the world, bringing back goods and new knowledge to their homelands. In the 19th century, industrial revolutions changed Europe's economy and people began building railways and factories. In the 20th century, people fought in two world wars, fought for their rights, and often changed their political boundaries. Today, Europe is home to many languages, cultures, and religions, making it a fascinating place to explore!
