History of road transport

Hey kiddo! Let me tell you about the history of road transport.

A long, long time ago, people used to walk around everywhere they went. But as they started building bigger communities and cities, they needed a faster way to get around. That's when animals like horses and camels were first used to carry people and goods.

But it wasn't until the 1800s that things really started to change. That's when the steam engine was invented, which could power machines that could travel on roads. This was the beginning of the age of motorized road transport.

Fast forward to the early 1900s, and cars were starting to become much more common. Henry Ford was one of the people who helped make cars more affordable for regular people. Soon, cars were everywhere and people were using them to get to work, run errands, and go on road trips.

As time went on, roads got better and better. Governments started investing in building bigger highways so people could travel even farther and faster. And companies like Ford and General Motors started making bigger and better cars.

Nowadays, we have lots of different ways to get around on roads. There are cars, trucks, buses, and even bicycles and scooters. And as technology continues to improve, who knows what kind of road transport we'll have in the future!
