History of the bikini

Okay kiddo, so once upon a time, people used to swim wearing really long and baggy clothes because they didn't want to show too much skin. But then, in 1946, a man named Louis Reard created something called a bikini. It was a small swimsuit that showed a lot of skin and was made up of two parts - a top and bottom.

Now, at first a lot of people didn't like the bikini and thought it was too scandalous. But slowly, more and more women started wearing bikinis and it became more popular. In fact, it became so popular that there are now many different styles and designs of bikinis that you can choose from!
