History of the internet

The internet is like a big city with roads and houses. All the roads lead to different places or houses, and when you use the internet, you are driving around on these roads and visiting different places.

The internet was actually invented a long time ago, in the 1960s, by a group of people who worked for the government. They built the roads and the houses that are still used today.

Today, the internet is used for lots of things - like playing games, shopping, streaming movies, reading news, researching school projects, and even sending messages. All of these activities use the roads and houses that the people in the 1960s built.
