History of the telescope
The telescope is a tool that helps us to see things that are far away. It's been around for a long time. People have been using some kind of telescope for about 400 years. The first telescopes were very simple, but they still let people see things in the sky that they couldn't see before.

Now, the most powerful telescopes are a lot bigger than the first inventions, and they use very powerful lenses that can show us things that are millions and millions of miles away.
