Hobble (device)

A hobble is a device people sometimes use to hold an animal's legs together so it can't run away. It is made of a rope or strap that goes around the animal's legs, usually just above the ankles. The hobble lets the animal walk but not run or move too quickly. It is used to help keep the animal safe and prevent it from getting lost or hurting itself.
