Hose (clothing)

A hose is a type of clothing that people used to wear in the olden days. It kind of looks like a really long sock that goes all the way up your leg to your waist. People wore them as an undergarment, like wearing undershirts or underwear today. They were usually made of a thin fabric, like linen or silk, that was soft and comfortable on the skin. People would wear them to keep warm, protect their legs from scratches or bruises, or just to look fancy. Nowadays, people don't really wear hose anymore, but you might see them in movies or plays about the olden days.
