Hosmer–Lemeshow test

The Hosmer-Lemeshow test is a way to determine if a model (like a math equation) used to predict something is accurate. It's used when you want to predict something that can only have a few different outcomes (like whether someone wins or loses a game, or if a student passes or fails a test). To run the test, you make predictions using your model and then compare those predictions to actual outcomes. If the predictions match the actual outcomes most of the time, then you can be pretty sure that your model is accurate.
