Hot water bottle blowing

Okay kiddo, have you ever felt really cold and wished you could just snuggle up with something warm and cozy? That's where hot water bottles come in! They're like little bags that you fill with warm water and then snuggle up with to keep yourself warm and toasty.

Now, when we fill up these hot water bottles, we have to be careful because the water we put in is very hot and it could burn us if we're not careful. That's where "hot water bottle blowing" comes in.

To fill up a hot water bottle, we start by heating up some water on the stove or in the microwave. Then, we carefully pour the hot water into the hot water bottle. But here's the trick - we don't want the bottle to be too full or it might leak or burst. So, instead of filling it up all the way, we leave some space at the top.

Now, this is where the "hot water bottle blowing" comes in! We gently blow into the opening of the bottle - kind of like blowing up a balloon - to create a pocket of air between the water and the top of the bottle. This pocket of air makes sure that the bottle doesn't burst or leak when we lay down with it or move it around.

So, by blowing into the hot water bottle, we're creating a little buffer zone that keeps us safe and cozy. Pretty cool, huh? Just remember to be careful when handling hot water and always have a grown-up or responsible person helping you with this!
