Hothousing

Hothousing is a practice that some parents use to try and give their kids an edge in school by teaching them lots of new information before they start school. It is like giving your child a head start by providing lots of extra learning and exposure to new topics. This often includes things like ABCs and 123s, reading, math and even foreign languages. Parents who hothouse their kids want them to be ahead of the game when they enter school.
